Strategy Correlations
Open Dashboard and select the Correlations tab.
What it shows
Section titled “What it shows”Strategy Correlations is a heatmap matrix of Pearson correlation between daily returns on each strategy’s live equity curve (after flows are accounted for in the same way as the portfolio chart).
- Rows and columns are your invested strategies (color dot matches the strategy in the app).
- Each cell is a correlation from -1 to +1 (green toward positive, red toward negative).
- The diagonal is always +1.00 (a strategy vs itself).
- Hover a cell for the exact value.
The subtitle shows how many overlapping trading days were used for the matrix.
When data appears
Section titled “When data appears”| Situation | What you see |
|---|---|
| Fewer than two invested strategies | Message to invest in at least two strategies |
| Two or more strategies but not enough shared return history | “Not enough overlapping return history yet” |
| Enough overlap (at least 5 trading days with aligned returns) | Full heatmap |
Only strategies with active managed capital are included. Strategies waiting on a pending deposit are excluded until they are fully invested.
How to use it
Section titled “How to use it”- Spot strategies that move together (high positive correlation) and may not diversify your book.
- Find pairs that move in opposite directions (negative correlation) when you want offsetting behavior.
- Compare correlation changes as you add strategies or as live history grows.
This view is about your strategies, not individual tickers. For asset-level correlation tables (peers of one symbol), see Assets and open a ticker’s detail page.
